Technologies for the transparent and efficient management of computer infrastructures and scalable software services in hospital environments.
HOSPITEC project subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency "GAIN", within the "CONECTA PEME" Program, code of project IN852A 2016/104. And co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) under OT1, 'Promoting technological development, innovation and quality research'
During last year the Hospitec project has been very useful. The activities and tasks related to the creation of an appliance that manages its computational resources and requested resources to the three supported public clouds (Amazon, Azure and Google Compute Engine) have been completed. For it, cryptographic techniques has been applied for the ensure protection of networks and their connections to maintain both storage and communications protected. Other important ítem is monitoring and billing, necessary to verify the correct working and to report the computational use and cost, which have been completed.
About the appliance, has made significant progress, in the automation of services management, supporting the use of virtual machines with Openstack and Docker containers with Kubernetes. Also, the bases are stabilized to complete the automation of the service life cycle at the end of project. A web interface has been designed to simplify the DevOps operations of hospital services and a multitenancy users management, facilitating self-provision by clients and remote version management from services provider.
Quantion and the UC3M together in a project AVANZA to facilitate the access to the leisure to hospitalized people with disability.
